was born and raised in Oklahoma, from which she can trace her family’s Cherokee-lineage to the Trail of Tears. After earning a BA of Letters from the University of Oklahoma, she traveled the Midwest and West, pursuing careers in bookselling and law enforcement. Windwalker’s work has been published in numerous literary journals and she is the author of novels Parable of Pronouns, Bury the Lead, and Preacher Sam, the first in the Sam Geisler, Murder Whisperer series. She currently writes full-time from the Alaskan coast.
